Here’s Why People Hate HR.

“We are going to upgrade you with immediate effect. We are going to allow you to move on in order that you can you use your talents and skills more effectively and thus upgrade your career and opportunities.”

Apparently, according to The Irish Times, that’s what a woman was told when her position was eliminated.

I remember a colleague’s story about a laid-off employee who, while packing up his office, secretly placed a pound of ground beef above the ceiling tile.  It took them about a month to figure out where the smell was coming from.  It’s stuff like this that makes people mad enough to do things like that.

It’s not fun to fire people, but the one thing you CAN do for them is not blow smoke up their skirts.  Being treated like an idiot doesn’t make anyone feel better.

How do you suggest firing someone? My boyfriend had a boss tell him that he was not smart and that he sucked at his job even though everyone liked him and he was meeting all of his quotas. She was overweight with heavy bags under her eyes and had a very mean spirit. Karma came back and she got let go a few months later. You are right-being treated like an idiot does not help the situation. Great Post!!!
