Hate Rejection Letters? Bet You Can’t Top This.

This is apparently a real rejection letter that Disney sent to a woman in 1938.

All rejection letters sting, but to get one from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that says you can’t work here because you’re a girl…well, yeah, that would suck.

That’s so tragica you’ve gotta laugh at it, and pray that 70+ years later we’ve advanced. I love that the signature of the rejecting party is situated right above the wicked witch sinister looking character.

I sent this around to the women in my office who graduated art school and work in entertainment. We’ve come a long way, Baby! I wonder what became of Mary Cleave and Mary Ford. Ironically, another Mary Cleave born 9 years after this letter became an astronaut. Ha!
