Dude. Did you totally just link me in with all the cool kids? Because that's awesome. And really weird. Mostly awesome though.

Jenny, bloggess’s last blog post..But the thing is that it’s totally a different Ken Hoffman and this one is awesome and I was also kind of drunk when I wrote that other post so it shouldn’t count anyway

Blast! Must go listen to interview . . . I'm so disorganized today.

I agree, the Bloggess is good, and I like passive-aggressive notes, too, though you can't read it every day or it will drive you crazy.

abdpbt’s last blog post..37 Pandemics That Never Really Took Off

LinkedIn is huge---I'm planning on a post in the not-too-distant future about how recruiters use it. For creative and blue-collar types it's less critical, but for corporate people, it's a must (even if you're not looking for a job).

I'm probably also going to do a post in the next week or two about the hard copy resume technique, but you should definitely still send an electronic copy.

I was surprised not to hear any umms and uhhhs on my radio interview as well. I was nervous, so I was definitely expecting to hear them. I suspect I am the beneficiary of fabulous editing on the part of the produce, Stephanie Lecci, who was, like, the nicest person ever. It was a really fun thing to do.

I listened to your podcast this morning and learned some new stuff -- I didn't know that Linked in was so important, for example. I was curious about what you said about sending a hard copy cover letter and resume. What if they want to be able to forward things via email or scan for key words? Should you send an e-copy as well?

BTW, you sound good on the radio -- no ums and uhs. Better than our president and I'll bet you didn't even have a teleprompter. :)
