RE: Shared emails. Honestly, I don't get those. It's not like you have to pay for an email address. And can I tell you how many people I know with shared emails (OK, at least two couples) who have divorced and then who gets custody of the address? At the least, it's just one more hassle and thing to change. Are the shared emails and the TMI causing the divorces, perhaps? Something to think about. Not to mention if I want to write something to my college roommate, I don't necessarily want her husband (whom I have never liked) to know about it, and no, it does not help me to know that she's "going to tell him everything ANYHOW." It certainly gives you an idea for how people seem unaware of the various ways people perceive them. Regarding using a work based email account; some employers block use of web-based email for either security or productivity reasons, so work email or smartphones are their only tools. I monitor a department email address where we have applicants who are either signing up for our newsletter, requesting more information about our company or just trying to reach a warm body so I can relate to much of what you say in this post! I read through these emails and think to myself "what is she/he thinking!?" Sometimes I just have to laugh at the email address choices! 80% of the emaials are appropriate but the other 20% are good for a giggle! Kerry’s last blog post..Green - IT & Sodexo
