This one comes from a colleague:
The applicant brought in a copy of his high school equivalency for me, as he was aware this was required for the job. When I tried to verify it, I learned he had never earned it. He called me a day or so later to check his status and I told him what had happened.
His response? “Oh, okay. Would you like to go out sometime? You’re very pretty.”
Clue: As a general rule, the recruiter probably doesn’t want to go out with you. This is especially true when she just caught you lying.

Not having a HS diploma or a GED doesn’t make this dude a catch? I love his chutzpah, but dang you just lied to someone, and still think they may be interested in going out with you?
