Take #23, for example. During a time when I was doing 4 to 5 interviews a day, I would start by saying something like &quot;Take your time considering your answers to these questions. Silence while you think is OK.&quot; Even with that, it seems people just don&#039;t like the silence, and think this type of noise is better: &quot;Well, there was the time when, no wait, that was something else, um, I think that I do my best work when I, um, no, wait. Could you repeat the question?&quot;
