Dawn---thanks!

We're less than a mile from the lake. We never did get any snow, so the inch we had before the big storm was all we ever got. My kids got their snowsuits all muddy by trying to make snow angels in an inch of slush. It's fun to be this close to the lake in December...but in June, when you get 70 degrees and we get 56 degrees and fog, it's less fun. So it balances out (although you don't have to shovel fog).

We did get the bitter cold, of course. I should have saved the Malt-O-Meal for today, because holy cow, it's freezing out there.

I'm about an hour west of you, and we got something like 17" of the white stuff. And like simply-hr, we froze our tushies off today. I can deal with the snow, but I'm not a fan of the bitter cold.

Kerry~

I hope you enjoyed your "virtual snow day". I was less fortunate, we did receive a foot of snow out in the country and while my kids enjoyed their snow day I still needed to get into work, thank goodness for 4-wheel drive!

Since part of my role is a recruiter for my company, I've read your blog with great interest and your advice has been on the mark everytime. I've actually used your advice to better articulate why I am or am not recommending a candidate after a phone screen.

Keep up the great writing!
