I know I’m a bit late on the draw here, but I wanted to say thank you. I’m currently going through a rather critical time, including a job search, and the advice I’ve found here has been indispensable. And well, the Tales From the Cluefree certainly have gone a long way to instill some confidence that, at least I’m not that bad!

I’ve yet to land that dream job, but I feel like I have a better shot now than I’ve ever had in the past. I have your blog to thank in part for that.

How can you stop, I read all the time! It’s pretty much one of the few sites I frequent that doesn’t involve some sort of celebrity gossip or shopping on the internet!!
I feel like you’re leaving me all over again! You left me when you decided to stop being our boss last year and now you’re leaving again?
I hope you enjoy whatever you decide to do! Perhaps working in a library? ) You are the only person I know who aspires to work in that area!

Kerry~ Personally I wish you well and know you’ll be great whatever path you take, however, I think you’re truly going to miss the humor of HR cuz people are just humorous.

I’m sad to see you stopped blogging because I think your advice is spot-on and insightful and since dh doesn’t listen to my recruiting advice because we’re married (which is bizzare because when he tells me the computer is messed up I believe him even though we’re married) I forward these to him to help him in his job search (and not just because it’s a passive-aggresssive of way of saying I told you so!)

Since we have never found time to grab a diet coke, I hope this means you will be available to do so. AND we can compare pictures of the kids and argue about whose are cuter (you beat me in the girls competition!).

Trust me, I’ll still be “out there” commenting and tweeting. I’m over job-hunting talk, but I won’t ever be over snark.

I could try to talk my husband into being my one-man IT team and brand ambassador. Unfortunately, he doesn’t dance goofily around the kitchen or argue with strangers or grow beards to show how hard he’s been working. So he didn’t get the job.

I’d change my name to Seth and shave my head if I thought I’d make as much money as the real Seth. I don’t think it would work though. That’s not a good look for a pale female of Scandinavian descent such as myself. You’d see the veins in my head. No one wants that.

I figured this day was coming. I could tell you were thinking of changing paths. Congratulations, but also, boo! I hope you will continue to be “out there” reading, commenting and tweeting, even if you’re not blogging. You’re like a snarky kindred spirit. We can’t lose you!

I so understand the dilemma of pursuing something that actually pays vs. devoting more attention to blogging. I’m starting to think blogging is the modern-day equivalent of serious charity work — it’s only for heiresses or those who have married very well. Or for guys named Seth. Or women whose husbands quit their job to be the wife’s one-man IT team and think they’re defending their wife on Twitter when what they’re really doing is damaging the family’s brand with his douchey and juvenile remarks … Wait. Where was I?
